Propositions To Change St. Charles Dart League Rules & Regulations

Questions 1 & 2 formalize existing Addedum Articles into the League Rules & Regulations. Additions are shown in italics, deletions are shown with strikethrough.

1. Shall the provisions of Addendum Article 2 be incorporated into Rules & Regulations Section 2(b) as shown below?

All league competition will be played in a participating SCDL League pub in accordance with a schedule drawn up by the Board of Directors. A pub may sponsor on each league night as many teams as it has sanctioned dart boards. No team will be scheduled to play until all Sponsor Fees have been paid. Under extenuating circumstances the Board of Directors can approve play elsewhere.

2. Shall the provisions of Addendum Article 1 be incorporated into Rules & Regulations Section 7(a) as shown below?

Team Eligibility: A team eligible for league play must have a minimum of four players with all members of the team being members in good standing with the SCDL. all team members in all Leagues must be members in good standing with the SCDL.

a) In Team Leagues, a team eligible for league play must have a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of eight (8) players.

b) In Open Doubles Leagues, a team eligible for league play must have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) players.

c) In Mixed Doubles Leagues, a team eligible for league play must have a minimum of one (1) male and one (1) female player and a maximum of two (2) male and two (2) female players.

5. If ‘YES’ to Question 3 above, shall the Week 2 match in Open and Mixed Doubles Leagues be played in Week 1, at the same pub, with the agreement of both Captains?

Questions 3, 4, & 5 above were approved by the Membership, Rules & Regulations Sections 8(a) and 8(c) will be modified as follows (additions are shown in italics, deletions are shown with strikethrough.):

a. The first, second, third, and fourth place finishers in the regular season will compete in the Division Play-offs as scheduled by the Board of Directors. In the event of ties, the head-to-head records of the two teams during the regular season will determine the higher placed team. In the event the two teams are still tied, a special match will be scheduled by the Board of Directors prior to the start of the Division Play-offs to determine the final standings. A flip of the coin will determine the type of game and winner of the “flip” will decide which game is to be played. Divison Play-offs are played over a two (2) week period.

1. Week 1 of the Division Play-off is played at the home pub of the first place team. The first place team will play the fourth place team and the second place team will play the third place team. The highest higher placed regular season team during the regular season will be the home team for each match. played in the course of the Division Play-offs.

2. The winners of these two the Week 1 matches will play each other in Week 2 at the home pub of the higher placed regular season team. The highest higher placed regular season team will be the home team. for each match played in the course of the Division Play-offs.

3. In the Open and Mixed Doubles Division Play-off, the Week 2 match may be played in Week 1, at the home pub of the first place team, with agreement of both Captains.

c. The home pub of the team winning the division will be the host of the Division Play-offs. The host pub of the Week 1 Division Play-offs must provide a minimum of four boards for a Division Play-off the play-off matches. If more than one Division Play-off is to be hosted in Week 1, a minimum of four boards must be provided for each of them. In the event the four board minimum cannot be met or other conflicts, the Board of Directors will move the Division Play-offs to the home pub of the second, third or fourth place team, as required.
