WELCOME!!!

 to the

St. Charles Dart League

YOUTH DIVISION

The St. Charles Youth Dart League starts the 2010 Fall session on Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. SHARP at the South 94 Bistro ... the door will be open at 9:30 a.m.!!!

We are doing our Rolling Round Robin format with a two-tiered program.  This is "rolling" because the points roll over and accumulate week to week, month to month, and at the end of December, the youth with the most points accumulated will be crowned "champion".  Tier One is for youths who are 13-20 years old.  They will play three legs of 501 (FI/DO) against each other participant.  We are allotting one hour per match (3 legs) and if there is 10 minutes left and nobody shooting for an out in the last leg, we revert to soft-tip out rules.

The Tier Two division will be comprised of youths who are ages 7-12.  They will play one leg of 401 (FI/DO) against every other participant in Tier Two.  After five turns (a 3 dart cycle is a turn) at a double out number, that player can shift over to soft-tip out rules.  Again, this is a rolling round robin event, so points roll over week to week, month to month and at the end of the session, the youth with the most points in Tier Two will be crowned "champion".

We will have weekly and monthly prizes in both tiers based on point totals.  You cannot win a weekly prize more than once a month or a monthly prize more than once a session.  There will be recognition for T80, T71 and RO9s.  Everybody gets one point for participation.  A youth between the ages of 7-12 MAY play in Tier One.

The following is the tentative Youth League schedule for Fall 2010:

  • September 18
  • October 2, 16 and 30
  • November 6, 20
  • December 4, 18

Just show up on any of the above Saturdays to participate or if you have questions contact David Sullivan at 636-448-4553 or at youth.director@scdl.org. Ideas, suggestions, volunteers, donations ... are all welcomed!!!
